Fawad Puts Pakistan Academy In Control

A fine batting performance led my skipper Fawad Alam placed Pakistan Cricket Academy in a very comfortable position in the second and final four day match against Bangladesh Cricket Academy on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

After dismissing Bangladesh for a modest 243, the openers of Pakistan Academy laid a solid foundation as openers Khurram Manzoor (64 off 100 balls) and Babar Nayeem (57 off 68 balls) shared a 102 run opening partnership.

After their departuare skipper Fawad Alam (82 off 169 balls) took the charge and shared another century stand with Shahid Yousuf (73 off 168 balls) and lifted Pakistan to 401-6 ate the end of second day.

Bangladesh spin duo Mosharraf Hossain and Mahmudullah shared 5 wickets between them but could not resist the run flow.

Pakistan Academy has already taken a commendable 158 run lead and will be looking to further extend the lead with another set batsman Adnan Reza is batting on 52.

Bangladesh Cricket Academy is leading the 2 match series 1-0 after defeating their Pakistani counterpart by 77 run in the opening match.
